This drawing is a portrait of my grandmother suffering from Alzheimer’s. To her, making guests coffee whilst eating cake has always been important, and although she doesn’t remember much anymore this mind-set has never left her. Sitting down for a coffee has become an important part of our relationship, where I get to share stories of my life, even though at this time in her life she will always forget them, over and over again.
